2600: The Hacker Quarterly, Winter 1994-1995
The 1994 volume, whose Summer issue reports the first Hackers On Planet Earth conference, the New York gathering 2600 organised that August and has run at intervals ever since.
Spring opens with "Crime Waves" and prints a DTMF decoder, NYNEX cards, "Hacking Health," "Software Piracy," facts on the Freedom of Information Act, blue boxing on CCITT System 5, "The Chrome Box" and reviews of Secrets of a Super Hacker and a UNIX security title. Summer covers HOPE itself along with "Life Under GTD5," "The Joys of Voice Mail," "Finger Follies," "Hacking Prodigy," keystroke monitoring and "Detecting Corporate Leaks." Autumn runs "Opening Doors," "Monitoring U.S. Mail," "Irish Telephones," "Hacking Netcash," "Generating an ESN," "The Ten Dollar Red Box" and "Breaking Windows." Winter reports the passage of the Digital Telephony bill and adds "Bypassing Protec," "The Risks of War Dialing," cellular hardware and "Janitor Privileges."
The Secrets of a Super Hacker reviewed in the Spring issue is the Loompanics manual published under the name The Knightmare, a copy of which is shelved in this wing.
