The SS Potlicker And Friends

In The SS Potlicker and Friends, Joe Bradley takes the knitting of a sweater as his subject and turns its patterns and yarn into pixelated images.

Those images are set against found photographs of smiling models in sweaters. Karma published the book in New York in 2014 in an edition of 500. It runs 52 pages and measures 10½ by 8¾ inches. Its title is also that of a 2014 solo exhibition of Bradley's paintings at Galerie Eva Presenhuber in Zurich.

Karma issued two other small books by Bradley around the same time: Joe Bradley (2013), 32 pages of repeating images of a vernacular logo, and Our Gang (2014), 32 pages with sixteen color photographs of children wearing paper animal masks.
