NÆS 02: He Believes in Beauty
The second issue of NÆS, a photo zine from Elska Magazine, in which founder Liam Campbell looks back at how he became a photographer of men.
The issue is officially titled He Believes in Beauty. It starts with a teenage wish to direct music videos and a later plan to shoot fashion. It then settles on travel and photographing men. Its core years are the ones Campbell spent as a flight attendant, when layovers made his first shoots possible. Sitters include Diego R and Scotty P in Los Angeles, Danny N in Costa Rica, and Alan M and Marco R in London. Elska lists it at 84 pages, full colour, sewn and offset-printed at 170 x 240 mm. A companion, NÆS Ekstra 02, adds twenty-five more men as a 384-page PDF.
Campbell created Elska in 2015 and is its editor-in-chief and chief photographer. The magazine devotes each issue to a different city, and this zine follows NÆS 01: Restless Relentlessly.
