Cesura Fanzine #02
Cesura Fanzine #2 is the second issue of the in-house zine produced by Cesura, an Italian collective of documentary photographers, gathering recent collective and personal projects by its members and collaborators.
The 72-page fanzine is unbound: its quires are held together with an elastic band rather than glue or stitching, in a 33 x 24.5 cm format. It reproduces color and black-and-white photographs, some printed full-page, from Arianna Arcara, Stefania Bosso, Matteo Buonomo, Federico Guarino, Giacomo Liverani, Gabriele Micalizzi, Andrea Rocchelli, Alessandro Sala, Giorgio Salimeni, Luca Santese, Gabriele Stabile, Francesco Viceconte, Hugo Weber, and Alessandro Zoboli Quartini. Cesura Publish issued it in Pianello Val Tidone, Italy, in 2016, in an edition of 150 copies.
Cesura was founded in 2008 by five photographers, among them Andrea Rocchelli, to produce independent documentary work outside the agency system. Rocchelli was killed in 2014 while covering the Donbas war in Ukraine. This fanzine, published two years after his death, places his photographs alongside current members' work, continuing the collective he helped start.
