The Catwalk Cats by Grace Coddington, Didier Malige

The Catwalk Cats

by Grace Coddington, Didier Malige
Edition 7L · 2006 · Hardcover

A book of photographs and drawings in which two fashion-world figures portray their household of cats.

Grace Coddington and Didier Malige lived together for more than twenty years with a group of cats, and the book records that household through Malige's photographs and Coddington's drawings. The cats are named and characterised one by one, among them Henri, a catnip-addicted surfer, his sister Coco, and the Persian Bart. Coddington and Malige tell their working and private lives through what the cats see. Sally Singer wrote the introduction and Michael Roberts is credited as editor. It was published in 2006 by Edition 7L, the Steidl imprint.

Coddington is a Welsh former model and former creative director at large of American Vogue, known for large, elaborate and dramatic photographic shoots. Malige is a French hairstylist raised in Paris.
