Pleasing

Pleasing is a monograph by the British photographer Laura Coulson, published as the fourth instalment, subtitled Winter, in Libraryman's quarterly Seasons Series.

Each Seasons Series volume gives one photographer a fixed set of terms: the same trim size, page count, and design as every other book in the series, applied to a subject of that photographer's own choosing. The series takes its concept from Kim Ki-duk's film Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring, in which a different actor plays the same character in each season of a single life at a lake monastery. Libraryman's first 25 copies of every volume, including Pleasing, came packaged with an added print.
