The Vanity of Certain Flowers Part Two continues a project Peter De Potter began in an earlier volume, working across still life, fashion photography and collaged found imagery.

As with the first part, the book builds meaning through juxtaposition rather than narrative, setting flowers and other still-life motifs against fragments of fashion and popular imagery to worry at ideas of beauty, artifice and decay. It was published by the Amsterdam gallery and bookshop MENDO, which has produced several of De Potter's artist books and shown his collage work.

De Potter is a Belgian artist and graphic designer whose practice moves between collage, photography and self-published books, frequently reworking fashion and advertising imagery into new, often unsettling compositions.
