A staple-bound booklet by the Danish artist Jesper Fabricius, Stellungen collages vintage pornographic imagery until explicitness collapses into pure composition.

Published in Leipzig in 2011 by the artist with Lubok Verlag in an offset edition of 500, the booklet pastes snippets of images — genitalia and other erogenous fragments — over full-page sex scenes, bombarding the reader with raw, frenetically positioned imagery. The chopped and reassembled pictures have the odd effect of removing shock or titillation altogether, breaking the sexual act down into component parts and harmless pixels. It precedes his related 2012 book Porno Kommunistisk.

Fabricius (b. 1957) is a central figure in Danish artists' publishing, co-founder of the long-running journal Pist Protta and the imprint Space Poetry, with a decades-long practice of cutting found printed matter into small, serial artist books.
