Tribeca 9/11/01–9/11/11
This is a self-produced photographic record Donna Ferrato made of Tribeca in the decade following September 11, framed by the title itself: 9/11/01 to 9/11/11.
Ferrato lived and worked in Tribeca, the Lower Manhattan neighborhood a few blocks from the World Trade Center site, and turned her camera on its recovery over the years that followed. Beyond the title's date span and a printer credit (Grafiche dell'Artiere, Italy), no formal publisher, ISBN, or print run has been located for this volume. It appears to have been produced independently rather than through a trade publisher, which matches how little record of it exists outside dealer listings.
Ferrato is best known for Living with the Enemy, her record of domestic violence made over more than a decade inside the households she photographed. This Tribeca record extends that same method, sustained, personal, neighborhood-level observation, to her own corner of New York.
