Cock, Paper, Scissors
ONE Archives at the USC Libraries in collaboration with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art
· 2016
· Hardcover
Cock, Paper, Scissors is the catalogue of a 2016 exhibition on queer collage, from the gay liberation era to the present.
The book presents work by fifteen queer artists across generations who cut and reassemble printed matter for what the publisher calls worldmaking. It combines curatorial introductions, artist interviews and reprinted historical texts, among them writing by Glenn Ligon and by Melissa Meyer with Miriam Schapiro. ONE Archives at the USC Libraries published it with the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art. It is a full-color hardcover of 152 pages, designed by Kimberly Varella of Content Object.
David Evans Frantz, Lucas Hilderbrand and Kayleigh Perkov edited the volume.

Notes
Identity confirmed: 'Cock, Paper, Scissors' is a collage exhibition catalogue, not a book about cocks; the user's copy is presumed to be this (only book found with this exact title; cover image matches title text). Editors credited on publisher page as Frantz, Hilderbrand, Perkov; AbeBooks/OpenLibrary list six names incl. essayists Bryan-Wilson, Fawaz, Ligon (the latter two not verified as essays vs reprints on the publisher page; three-essays/three-interviews detail came from a search summary, not used). Hardbound cloth cover, gold foil title. Cover 700px source, cropped to 553x700. Publisher page gives no dimensions. Beat 3 limited to editor credit (publisher page) because no fetched source describes the editors or ONE Archives.
