Wives. Wheels . Weapons
Wives, Wheels, Weapons pairs text by the novelist James Frey with photographs by Terry Richardson. The small New York press JMc & GHB Editions issued it under the fuller title Bright Shiny Morning: Wives, Wheels, Weapons.
The main title borrows from Frey's 2008 Los Angeles novel Bright Shiny Morning. The book itself follows its subtitle instead, running Richardson's photographs of wives, wheels, and weapons against Frey's text. Some copies also carry a contribution from the artist Richard Prince, and JMc & GHB issued the title in both paperback and hardcover states.
The book sits inside the same run of small artist books that paired Richardson with writers and other artists through the 2000s. These were printed in limited numbers and sold outside ordinary trade distribution.
