This Charming Man

This Charming Man is a self-published photo zine Shaniqwa Jarvis put out in 2011.

The cover, reproduced in duotone blue, shows a man photographed in a bathroom, seated with his hands pressed over his face, a title borrowed from the 1983 Smiths song of the same name. The library's copy is signed by Jarvis.

Jarvis is a photographer, and This Charming Man belongs to the small-run, self-printed zine format many photographers use to put personal work into the world outside of a commercial publisher or gallery.
