Kiss of the Sun

A catalogue published on the occasion of Lee Mary Manning's third solo exhibition at CANADA, New York (22 November 2024 – 11 January 2025). The 100-page book features images of framed works from the show alongside collaged photographs and digital scans of ephemera — both objects included in the exhibition and material that did not end up on the wall. Manning's practice moves fluidly between photographic registers — daily diaristic shooting, found-image collage, and the digital flatbed scan — and the catalogue mirrors that working method on the page rather than presenting only the framed end-products. Designed by Joe Gilmore. Published by CANADA, the artist-run gallery at 60 Lispenard Street founded in 1999.
