Call Me Burroughs: A Life
A full-length biography of the writer William S. Burroughs, published by Twelve in 2014 and described by its publisher as the first in 25 years.
Miles wrote with the support of the Burroughs estate and drew on interviews with Allen Ginsberg, Lucien Carr and Burroughs himself. The publisher says it is the first Burroughs biography to cover the last decade of his life and to examine his cultural legacy. The hardcover runs to 736 pages.
Barry Miles is a British writer who has documented the Beat circle and the London counterculture across several books, among them Ginsberg: A Biography, William Burroughs: El Hombre Invisible and Paul McCartney: Many Years from Now.
