S_U_N · 2013 · Zine
Lovers is a limited-edition zine by Corey Presha, drawn from a larger body of work titled Night Shift. The images are pulled from security-camera footage recorded in the elevators of unidentified New York City hotels during the overnight shift, showing anonymous couples in unguarded, intimate moments. Produced by S_U_N (SUN Editions) for Printed Matter's 2013 NY Art Book Fair, the zine repurposes surveillance footage as a found-photography source, proposing that people are most themselves, and most intimate, when they believe they are unobserved. It sits alongside Presha's other zine-based work, including 100 Girls I Don't Know, in S_U_N's publications catalog.
