Secrets is a collection of black-and-white portraits by the Italian photographer Paolo Roversi, published under his own imprint, Editions Stromboli, to coincide with a 2013 exhibition at the Fotografiska museum in Stockholm.

The photographs draw on both Roversi's fashion work and more personal, unpublished images, presented not as a bound book but as loose printed sheets housed under a card cover and slipcase. The format treats the pictures as individual objects rather than fixed pages. The project was produced with Antoine de Beaupré.

Roversi has photographed for the world's leading fashion magazines and houses for four decades, working largely with Polaroid and large-format cameras to build a body of work defined by soft focus, muted tone and a persistent sense of intimacy bordering on mystery. Secrets gathers material that sits outside that commercial output, closer to the photographer's own private register.

Notes

Sources disagree on page count (40 pages per the publisher's own current listing vs. 76 pages per a French bookseller listing) and print run (1000 vs. 1500 copies), and the publisher's own site currently dates the listing to October 2015, which most likely reflects a later restock rather than the first edition — most booksellers, including a listing explicitly marked "FIRST EDT," give 2013. Recorded here as the 2013 first edition; page count and print run left unresolved rather than forced to a single figure. No ISBN — small-press, self-published imprint. Summer archiving 2026; catalogued 2026-08-28.
