Purple Book

High Lonesome: The Max Snow Purple Book is Max Snow's entry in the Purple Book series. It was issued with the Fall/Winter 2013/2014 issue of Purple Fashion Magazine (Volume III, Issue 20), published by the Purple Institute, Paris.

Like the other Purple Books, it is a standalone paperback booklet built around a single artist's photographs. Each title in the series was produced and distributed alongside one issue of the magazine rather than sold as a separate publication.

The Purple Book series ran alongside Purple Fashion Magazine for several years under editor Olivier Zahm. It gave artists including Dash Snow and Ryan McGinley a small-run outlet for photographic work outside the gallery system, and Max Snow's book is part of that same run.
