Seoul Portraits

"Seoul Portraits" is a small booklet by Karel Martens collecting a selection of visitor portraits drawn from the digital guest book of his 2018-2019 exhibition at Platform-L in Seoul.

The 16-page softcover, designed by Martens, was compiled from the guest-book portraits gathered during "Karel Martens: Still Moving," which ran at Platform-L from October 8, 2018, to February 14, 2019. Roma Publications issued it in a limited edition in 2020.

Martens is a Dutch graphic designer, typographer, and printmaker, and a co-founder of the Werkplaats Typografie in Arnhem; "Seoul Portraits" is a minor, occasional publication set against the monoprints, patterns, and typographic books that make up the bulk of his output with Roma.
