Welcome Aboard gathers Christian Schwager's photographs from the container ships and freight terminals of global shipping, watching the people and machinery that move the world's cargo.

Published by Edition Patrick Frey in Zurich, the book moves between the scale of the ships themselves and the daily routines of the crews aboard them, building a picture of a workplace most people never see despite depending on it. Schwager's approach is observational and quiet, closer to documentary portraiture than industrial photography.
