Early Photography 1977–87

This definitive publication documents three simultaneous Gagosian exhibitions presenting Prince's revolutionary early photographic practice. Over seventy works demonstrate how Prince redefined authorship through 'rephotography,' appropriating advertising imagery and transforming it into artworks that critique consumer desire and American mythology.
