Slanted Magazine #47—Digital Tools
Slanted Magazine #47 is the Digital Tools issue of the design magazine, a survey of the software, scripts and utilities that shape how designers and artists work.
The issue covers graphic design, typography, illustration, 3D, web, generative design and creative coding. Interviews and articles ask how digital tools shape aesthetics, imagination and authorship, from experimental open-source projects and custom scripts to everyday utilities. It runs 224 pages in English at 16 × 24 cm, in a Swiss brochure binding with flaps and open thread stitching by Buchbinderei Spinner. An online directory of digital tools, sorted by category and updated over time, accompanies the print issue.
Slanted Publishers designed the issue and edited it with Jacob Tessmann. Lars Harmsen is editor in chief and Julia Kahl managing editor.
