Apartamento Issue 3

Spring/Summer 2009, the third issue of Apartamento, with JD Samson at home in New York, Jean Touitou in Paris, the Berlin design duo Bless, and a travel supplement shot by Ari Marcopoulos, Jason Nocito and Jocko Weyland.

Luiza Sá visits JD Samson in New York City. Michael Bullock and Yasmine Dubois-Ziai photograph Alexandra Singh's Tudor village inside a warehouse, Marco Velardi meets Jean Touitou at the Ateliers de la Petite Enfance in Paris, and Andrea Lissoni writes on Bless in Berlin. Hanna Nilsson and Sofia Østerhus contribute a plant portrait from Bromma, Kris Latocha a geology of design, and Ana Dominguez and Omar Sosa a study of marble and granite. Ezra Koenig writes "Under the bridge", David Armstrong opens his Candyland, Audrey Fondecave-Tsujimura reports from Nakameguro, Juan Ignacio Moralejo visits Juan Tessi and Alexandre Fehr meets Paulo César Pereio. Karley Sciortino closes with "Slaves". The everyday-life travel supplement adds Geoff McFetridge, Lele Saveri and Giorgio Di Salvo.

Apartamento was started in Barcelona in 2008 by Nacho Alegre, Omar Sosa and Marco Velardi as an everyday life interiors magazine, photographing homes as they are lived in rather than styled for the camera. This issue is from its second year, when the format was still settling.
