PRINT / Issue Two
PRINT / Issue Two is the second issue of the fashion magazine produced by stylist Francesca Burns and creative director Christopher Simmonds, a single object that treats a magazine as a physical archive rather than a stack of pages.
Issued in a numbered edition of 1,000, the issue arrives as a thick, perfect-bound volume packed inside a corrugated cardboard box together with additional zines, posters and badges. Photography comes from a large roster of contributors including David Sims, Jamie Hawkesworth, Zoë Ghertner, Terry Richardson, Ari Marcopoulos, Bill Henson, Colin Dodgson and Karim Sadli, alongside written contributions; no page numbering or masthead conventions structure the issue.
PRINT grew out of Burns's work as a fashion editor and Simmonds's practice as a creative director, positioning the magazine closer to an artist's edition than to a newsstand title. Its object-based distribution — sold through art bookshops such as Dashwood Books rather than magazine racks — places Issue Two alongside other independent, small-run fashion publications of the period.
