CELL (Type C) signed by Daisuke Yokota
Cell is a limited-edition zine by Daisuke Yokota, issued by TWELVEBOOKS in 2015 in four variant types of 50 signed and numbered copies each, for a total edition of 200; this copy is Type C.
Its 24 saddle-stitched pages are built from a single abstract image out of Yokota's contribution to Abstracts, a 2015 photobook by the collective AM Projects, mechanically divided into 56 segments. The zine was published to coincide with the Abstracts book-launch event held at VACANT in Tokyo on June 27, 2015, and each copy is signed and numbered by Yokota on an accompanying certification card.
Yokota is a member of AM Projects, a Tokyo photographer collective; Cell repurposes his abstract, chemically worked imagery as a small-format object rather than a conventional photobook.
