Toransupearento

Toransupearento is a 2014 artist's book by Daisuke Yokota, published by Kominek & Newfave in a spiral-bound edition of 450 copies.

The 165-page oblong volume, roughly 30 x 21 cm, reproduces full-page photographs printed on sheets of colored transparent film, each set separated by plain white paper, and was issued shrink-wrapped in a blue plastic bag.

Yokota is known for pushing the photographic printing and developing process to extremes, often re-photographing his own prints to build up layers of distortion. Toransupearento's stacked, tinted sheets turn that layering into a physical property of the book itself, letting a reader shuffle and recombine the transparencies by hand.
