C-A-T Spells Murder

"C-A-T Spells Murder" is a themed anthology on the cat as a recurring subject in art and image culture, edited by Alex Da Corte and Sam McKinniss and published by Karma in New York.

The book gathers writing from a range of critics and writers, including Jia Tolentino, Bob Nickas, Collier Schorr, Sarah Nicole Prickett, and Alissa Bennett. Paperback, 272 pages.

Da Corte's own work returns often to this same vein of pop and cartoon imagery — Sylvester the Cat appears among the borrowed characters in his film "Rubber Pencil Devil" — making "C-A-T Spells Murder" a natural extension of his editorial interests alongside his studio practice.
