Free Roses

"Free Roses" is the exhibition catalogue for Alex Da Corte's solo show of the same name at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts, on view from March 26, 2016 through February 2017.

Edited by MASS MoCA curator Susan Cross together with Da Corte, the book runs 208 pages with color illustrations and a bibliography, published jointly by MASS MoCA and DelMonico Books/Prestel.

Da Corte works across sculpture, video, and installation, restaging pop and consumer imagery within saturated, theatrical environments. The library also holds two later examples of that practice: "Marigolds" (Karma, 2019) and "Rubber Pencil Devil" (American Art Catalogues, 2021).
