JRP Ringier · 2013 · Hardcover

Helen Marten is a 2013 monograph that documents three exhibitions of one touring show initiated by Kunsthalle Zürich: Almost the exact shape of Florida there, Plank Salad at Chisenhale Gallery in London, and No borders in a wok that can’t be crossed at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.

Tom Eccles, Beatrix Ruf and Polly Staple edited the book. It belongs to the Kunsthalle Zürich series and was published by JRP|Ringier with the other two institutions. It has newly commissioned texts by Ed Atkins, Michael Archer, Kit Grover, Flint Jamison and Richard Wentworth, and many installation and work views. The hardcover has 156 pages and 234 color images, and JRP lists English and German editions.

JRP gives Marten as born in Macclesfield in 1985 and living in London. It presents her work as a running exchange between counterfeit and camouflage, in which language keeps tripping up the image. D.A.P. lists her media as installation, sculpture and video.
