Wolfgang Tillmans and Hans Ulrich Obrist: The Conversation Series, Vol. 6

Volume 6 of Hans Ulrich Obrist's Conversation Series is a book-length dialogue with Wolfgang Tillmans about his photography, how his artistic outlook has changed since the 1980s, and the themes he has pursued.

The book draws on two conversations between Obrist and Tillmans. They discuss the work across those decades and go into Tillmans's then-recent book Manual in detail. They also take up cultural and social questions, AIDS among them. Walther König published the 140-page paperback in Cologne in 2007, with 30 black-and-white illustrations.

Manual is itself a 432-page clothbound book of Tillmans's texts, issued by the same publisher the same year. Tillmans was born in Remscheid in 1968 and won the Turner Prize.
