Special Guest

"Special Guest" is a collaborative book by Richard Prince and Roe Ethridge, each artist responding to the other's work.

Karma published the paperback in 2015, 182 pages, on the occasion of a 2015 exhibition of the same name at Gagosian Gallery. Prince and Ethridge share an interest in image-making and the limits of photography, and the book is structured as each artist seeing the other's work through his own eyes rather than as a conventional joint survey.

Ethridge (b. 1969, Miami) is represented by Andrew Kreps Gallery, New York, Gagosian, and Greengrassi, London; his monographs include "Rockaway, NY" (Steidl/MACK, 2007), "Sacrifice Your Body" (MACK, 2014), and "Neighbors" (MACK, 2016).
