Private Book 3
Private Book 3 is Karma's facsimile of Lee Lozano's third pocket notebook, given over largely to a running log of her calls and visits from May 1969 to July 1970.
Madeline Weisburg's review in The Brooklyn Rail (February 2018) describes the notebook as filled with a detailed list of calls and visits made and received between 15 May 1969 and 21 July 1970, naming artists, dealers and curators of her circle. Karma's page calls the volume mainly a calendar of her personal, artistic and chemical interactions in those years. It is a 200-page spiral-bound paperback, 5 by 3 inches, printed in colour in an edition of 2,500.
Weisburg reviewed the first three volumes together. She writes that Karma's editions keep the tipped-in notes and the look of the cheap, sticky ink, and that they read as artworks rather than relics.
