Fall/Winter 2011, the largest issue Purple had made to that point, with a news section running to nearly forty items before the features begin.

Olivier Zahm interviews Virginie Despentes and Collier Schorr, Alex Israel talks to Kenneth Anger and David Lynch, Sabine Heller to Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Noritoshi Hirakawa to the Japanese director Kaneto Shindo, Rachel Chandler to SALEM and Matt Sweeney to Mick Fleetwood. Kazumi Asamura Hayashi photographs Kiko Mizuhara, Dominique Issermann shoots Chiara Mastroianni, Steven Klein takes Barbara Sukowa, Theo Wenner shoots Jamie Bochert and Martien Mulder photographs Hannelore Knuts. Documents cover Gummo, James Chance, Luigi Ontani and Carlo Scarpa, and Rachel Chandler and James Moore report from Las Pozas.
