Neo Rauch: Das Grafische Werk 1993–2012 is the first comprehensive survey of Rauch's prints, published when he gave one edition of each of them to the town of Aschersleben.

Aschersleben, in the Harz foothills, is where Rauch spent his childhood and youth. The gift established the Grafikstiftung Neo Rauch, which makes the prints available to the public, and the works were shown there from 1 June 2012. Hatje Cantz published this bilingual German and English volume the same month. It illustrates the prints in detail and takes up the link between attachment to the place one comes from and an artist's creative drive. Rudij Bergmann wrote the main text, Kerstin Wahala the foreword, and Wolfgang Büscher a further contribution. The Grafikstiftung Neo Rauch is credited as editor and Maria Magdalena Koehn as designer. The book has 200 pages and 76 illustrations, in hardcover with a dust jacket.

Rauch was born in Leipzig in 1960. Alongside painting and drawing he has made many prints, most of them in several colours. The publisher notes that their figures and settings, often surreal, seem to refer to histories from different times and places, as his paintings do.
